KegiatanPENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPA PADA KELAS VA SD MODEL SLEMAN MELALUI PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CTL Yulia Dwi Ernawati, S.Pd* Abstract Low science learning achievement is the problem in the class VA SD Model Sleman. This Research aims to improve science learning achievement by using Contextual Teaching and Learning Model of grade V A SD Model Sleman. This research was Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research were students of class V A SD Model Sleman District which has 21 students consist 11 female students and 10 male students. This design research used Kemmis and Mc.Taggart Models design. The research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycles was consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used observation and tests. Before being used the in research,the test was validated by expert judgment.First observation data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative while the test results were analyzed by descritive quantitative. Science learning using contextual teaching and learning model with 7 main principals could improve science learning achievement of grade VA SD Model Sleman. Students were not embarrassed to ask and answer question. Students were able to conduct inquiry activities, group work, and presentation well. Students could easily understand the science materials esly because they were able to associate the science materials with their daily. This was indicated by on progress in the average values of the class in cycle 1 at 75,71 into 85,71 in cycle 2 and percentage of students who achieved the KKM 66,67% in cycle I increased to 90,47% in cycle II. The result of 1,01 effect size analiysis.
